Baran

This site has been pub­lished to intro­duce and dis­play Vishka Studio’s CG pro­duc­tion port­fo­lio, pipeline and issues, par­tic­u­larly con­cern­ing our lat­est short film project, the CG ani­mated short movie “Baran” (“Rain”) and share our expe­ri­ences with others in the “{en:CG|CG}” community.

We would really appre­ci­ate any com­ments or crit­i­cisms of our work which would help us improve even slightly.

“Baran” (tem­po­rary title) is the story of a small curi­ous and brave girl called Roshanak who is per­plexed by the fact that it only rains on one side of their house intermittently.

As it stops rain­ing on one side, the rain starts to pour on the other side of the house.

Her par­ents seem obliv­i­ous to this phe­nom­e­non and have accepted it as a fact of life but Roshanak’s curios­ity forces her to start her adven­ture and dis­cover the world she lives in.

‘Spoiler: [spoiler]Roshanak decides one night to go to the roof of their house and see why the rain is act­ing so strangely. When she reaches the roof she observes that in fact their home is a flower sit­u­ated in a field of flow­ers and other chil­dren are com­ing out of the neigh­bor­ing flow­ers to dance and play.
She also notices a huge hand belong­ing to the gar­dener of this field which comes and moves a sprin­kler out of the way and puts it in another part of the field.’ [/spoiler]

The script was writ­ten by Danesh Gueeti based on an orig­i­nal idea by Ali Chenari. After­wards it was re-written by Arman Arian where it reached its final state.
