Armin is a powerful and fierce warrior but contrary to his looks has a heart of gold. His main weapon is a pair of huge flanged maces which he uses expertly to clobber his assailants and enemies.</p>
<p>The sketches and concepts were created by <a title="Faraz Shanyar Online Portfolio" href="http://www.shanyar.com/" target="_blank">Faraz Shanyar</a>.</p>
<p>The 3d model is being done by <a title="Reza Ramezani online blog" href="http://www.rezaramezani.com/">Reza Ramezani</a>, one of our lead modelers and is done using ZBrush 3.1 and Max 2009.</p>

<p>The Aladdin and the Ghoul 3d models are ready and just need to be posed for this image. Since it would take too long to rig and envelope these characters we have decided to use ZBrush to set their poses and then import them into Vue 7 XStream. <p>Our team consisted of Arman Aryan as scriptwriter, <a href="http://alichenari.cgsociety.org/gallery/" target="_blank">Ali Chenari </a>as Art Director, <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1282391/" target="_blank">Vishka Assayesh</a> as Set Designer, <a href="http://faraz-shanyar.cgsociety.org/gallery/" target="_blank">Faraz Shanyar</a> as lead concept artist on Aladdin, Hamed Kamali as lead concept artist on Alice and myself, Reza Ghobady as Production Manager.</p>
<p>We were entrusted with task of creating a complete package which would define the preliminary design, layout, characters and concepts for the two dark rides.</p>
<p>In the following posts I will give you extra details about these two projects and the concept designs the team created for Avijeh Mehr.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class="socialize-in-content" style="float:left;"></div><p>We created concept designs for a few game characters a while ago and we never got around to building their 3D models. These were really great characters designed by <a title="Faraz Shanyar" onclick="window.open('http://www.shanyar.com/','Faraz Shanyar Online Portfolio','scrollbars=yes,dependent=yes,width=800,height=600,left='+(screen.availWidth/2-400)+',top='+(screen.availHeight/2-300)+'');return false;" href="http://www.shanyar.com/" target="_blank">Faraz Shanyar</a> who had also designed some of our concepts for our <a title="Aladdin Dark Ride Gallery" rel="lightbox" href="http://www.vishka.com/blog/nggallery/page-251/album-6/gallery-29">theme park projects</a>. We finally were able to pick up these concepts and create them in 3D and in the next few posts will present you with some work in progress images as well as the final cg characters.</p>
<p>These are 4 characters which are inspired by Iranian folklore and mythology. They are a group of warriors who have been comrades for a very long time, fighting side by side and have been deformed by fatigue, the horrors and atrocities committed in war and their battle wounds. Nevertheless they stick together through thick and thin since they have learned how to fight and win together.</p>

<p>These are some character concepts created by Hamed Kamali which turned out exactly the way we wanted them to and somehow even exceeded our expectations. Hamed really outdid himself on these concepts and we were really excited with the results.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">The purpose of these characters was to test our production techniques on biped and quadruped characters that would be more complex than what we have done before and would contain hair, fur, feathers and secondary animations.</p>

Our environment concepts were done by <a href="http://danesh.cgsociety.org/gallery/" title="Soheil Danesh Gallery" target="_blank">Soheil Danesh</a> who did a great job of illustrating what our final output should eventually strive to become. He was able to give us a good color palette and solid ideas on where our models would be going. He also gave us some sketches to help us with certain shots.<br />
These were essential for our director, Ali Chenari, to be able to share his vision with the rest of the team.</p>
